The Australian Energy Council welcomes the announcement of the Opposition Shadow Ministry and congratulates the Hon Mark Butler MP on his reappointment to Shadow Cabinet as Climate Change and Energy spokesman.
The AEC’s Chief Executive Sarah McNamara said “Mark Butler has demonstrated a good understanding of the issues confronting the energy sector, and his appointment recognises the value of his energy experience.
“This next term of Parliament now provides an opportunity for the industry to work constructively with the Government and all members of the new Parliament to deliver better results for households and businesses.”
